Kawasaki paves the way – working on a tricycle

Images of patent drawings from the Japanese automotive giant have circulated the web, featuring a design for a three-wheeled motorcycle. It has two wheels at the front and one at the back – so it works on a similar principle to other tricycles.

While rumors about Kawasaki’s new design have been around for a long time, it’s only now that we’ve come across solid evidence showing the Japanese’s latest baby.

The patent sketches, by design, are not very accurate and extensive, but they do provide a lot of valuable information, such as some of the structural details of the project.

We know that the Kawasaki tricycle will be equipped with a traditional front suspension fork, which will combine the mechanism responsible for the movement of the wheels relative to each other during cornering.

Will Kawasaki’s plans come to fruition?
